Sharon is a violinist and conductor, studying her undergraduate degree at the Royal College of Music with Professor Detlef Hahn and Toby Purser respectively. An avid explorer of new music, she is recognised for her individual versatility as a musician with an ever-expanding repertoire, ranging from classical to contemporary works.
Since the start of her musical journey, Sharon has given many concerts as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician in the UK, Europe and China. When she was 14, Sharon made her concerto debut performing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto and is regularly invited as a guest soloist by a range of orchestras. At the 34th Eastbourne Young Soloist Competition, she was awarded the St Cecilia’s Bequest, for the best performer under 18, as well as the Colonel Howes Prize. She received the silver award at the Internationales Musikfest in Vienna last year, where she made her debut at the Musikverein.
Sharon is a recipient of the 2023 RPS Julius Isserlis Scholarship which supported her studies at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien as part of an exchange programme, where she studied with Professor Ernst Kovacic.
Yizhe is currently studying Collaborative Piano with Simon Lepper, Roger Vignoles and Elizabeth Burley at the Royal College of Music. She has been awarded a number of prizes throughout her musical career, including the the"Egret Cup" Piano Competition Gold Prize, the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music Professional Excellence Student Scholarship and the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music Excellent Award of "Teacher Skills Competition".
She has attended masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Pauliina Tukiainen.
Yizhe received her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music and has also studied both Piano Performance and Voice. She actively gives various performances as a soloist and collaborator.
