Neo Hung began to learn the piano at the age of six in Hong Kong. He gave his first solo piano recital at the age of thirteen. At fifteen, he began to study at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with Julie Kuok and is currently studying piano with Dina Parakhina at the Royal College of Music in London, with a full scholarship awarded by the HKSAR government for both his outstanding academic and artistic performances since 2021.
Neo made his concerto debut at the Music Fest Perugia with Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.1 under Alessandro Alonzi in 2023. An active Performer, He has also performed at the Amalfi Coast Music Festival, Malaga Piano Festival, RCM Keyboard Festival and SonataFest. More recently, Neo has embarked on a recital tour across England, with performances in London, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire, Somerset and West Yorkshire. He will make his debut as on behalf of Keyboard Charitable Trust on Isle of Man in September 2024.
In 2023, Neo was a prize winner in the Liszt Society International Piano Competition in London, chaired by the renowned pianist Leslie Howard. He also received an honorary mention in the final round of the Festival Internacional de Piano in Malaga in 2023.
Neo also won prizes in the tenth Zhongsin International Music Competition, the fifth Japan-Hong Kong International Music Competition and the Internationaler Bonn Klassik Klavierwettbewerb.
